32 Hour Pipe Scaffold Erector/Dismantler Training Application Prerequisite: There are no prerequisites for this training course. However, students must be able to communicate with the instructor in the language that the training is provided in. Audience: This training course is proposed for safety managers, qualified experienced employees who will erect, dismantle, change or restore supported scaffolds over 40 feet, construction superintendents. Event Description According to New York City Local Law 52 of 2005, this training course is necessary for employees who are setting up, removing or altering pipe/supported scaffolds over 40 feet on construction sites jobs in New York City. The educator will display safe procedures of installation, dismantle and alteration of distinct types of pipe/supported scaffolds using DOB standards, OSHA requirements, and good work methods as a guide. Some subjects that will be discussed during the training course will include: employee training, how to interrupt scaffold design drawings, crucial scaffold factors, and the significance of accurate planning. Students will be involved in a hands on activity. During the activity students will set up and remove pipe/supported scaffolds, apply distinct knots on ropes and display they have the capability to administer fundamental rigging strategies. Consequent to successfully completing of the course, students will receive a four hour supported scaffold user license that will be valid for four years. Event Logistics: Swing Staging Training & Safety, LLC provides certification of specific OSHA and Scaffold operations and use. With presentation, equipment awareness, and physical interaction or widely used as well as new products in a classroom setting and practical operation of heavy equipment widely used throughout the industry in a practical room fitted with state of the art products. Students operate and fully inspect the live equipment they use and/or see on their job sites. Learning Outcomes: Consequent to the completion of the course, students should be able to: • Exemplify dangers affiliated to installation/dismantling and use the use of pipe/supported scaffolds and how to prevent them. • Cultivate a fundamental knowledge of safely installing and dismantling supported scaffold gear/supplies. • Observe pipe/supported scaffold definitions and terminology. • Examine pipe/supported scaffold elements using procedures discussed throughout the course • Analyze the agents of scaffolding accidents and prevention procedures. • Review the distinctions between New York City Building Code and OSHA scaffolding administrations.
